There is now a rough beginning to the first series on Prayer now in the Selections page.

Thank you again George for your work in the Lord. Hopefully we can have more than one selection on prayer, focusing on different aspects of it. There is so much good material to use.  Cheesy

It appears the first selection is going to focus on prayer from the heart, and prayer overcoming sorrow.

This first page requires more ordering of the quotes so that their transitions from one to the next flow more properly, it is only partially ordered and very rough, and should no doubt see a number of changes. Please excuse.

If more quotes that fit the first theme focus come up as they should they may become a part of it.

I think some quotes on the necessity of overcoming distractions during prayer would be good to find, some further on purity of intention, and more details on praying properly, with simplicity.

crucifix God help us poor sinners.

It's added to the website. If only I had some volunteers to add to the website prayers directly by editing the web pages and prayers file, there are quite a few prayers that could be added. It would be good to see more there.

Here's the Litany of St. Thomas Aquinas. I can't seem to find them in Latin though. Sorry.

~ Litany of St. Thomas Aquinas

Lord, have mercy on us.
 Christ, have mercy on us.
Lord, have mercy on us. Christ hear us.
 Christ, graciously hear us.

God the Father of heaven,
 Have mercy on us.
God the Son, Redeemer of the world,
 Have mercy on us.
God the Holy Spirit,
 Have mercy on us.
Holy Trinity, one God,
 Have mercy on us.
Holy Mary,
Pray for us. (repeat after each line)
Glorious Mother of the King of kings,
St. Thomas,
Worthy child of the Queen of Virgins,
St. Thomas most chaste,
St. Thomas most patient,
Prodigy of science,
Silently eloquent,
Reproach of the ambitious,
Lover of that life which is hidden with Christ in God,
Fragrant flower in the garden of St. Dominic,
Glory of the Friars Preachers,
Illumined from on high,
Oracle of the Church,
Incomparable scribe of the God-Man,
Perfect in the school of His Cross,
Model of perfect obedience,
Endowed with the true spirit of holy poverty,

Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world,
 Spare us, O Lord.
Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world,
 Graciously hear us, O Lord.
Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world,
 Have mercy on us.

What have I in heaven, or what do I desire on earth?
That you are the God of my heart, and my portion forever.

Let us pray, O God, who ordained that St. Thomas should enlighten your Church, grant that through his prayers we may practice what he taught. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
