Joseph or Yusef? If that's the derivative of it? Might not be!

What more common name is there than Joe? Cheesy

Mohammed and Mary.
Not the ones I have in mind. Does the name "Mohammed" appear in the Bible?
I have tried to check but nothing comes up.
Mary, Hmmm, they use Mariam which is not in the Bible.

Give it another try. Think of Genesis and a certain ancestor of both the Israelites and the Arabs
and how it came about  Grin

Ephraim?

I think Ephraim is a Hebrew name.
The name I found in the Bible and which surprised me no end is " Abdi"!
It is mentioned three times in the Bible and each time it refers to a different man.
I know someone called Abdi here. He has a car for hire and I use him almost daily as I do not own a car.
On Sunday I told him his name is in the Bible and he was also surprised.
Here are the references.

1 Chronicles 6:44
Ethan of the clan of Merari was the leader of the third choir. His family line went back to Levi as follows: Ethan, Kishi, Abdi, Malluch.

2 Chronicles 29:12

The following Levites were there:
From the clan of Kohath, Mahath son of Amasai and Joel son of Azariah
From the clan of Merari, Kish son of Abdi and Azariah son of Jehallelel.

Ezra 10:26
Clan of Elam: Mattaniah, Zechariah, Jehiel, Abdi, Jeremoth, and Elijah

 The Introductory Rites.
Sunday Mass.
The Priest greets the congregation: " The Lord be with you".
If it is the celebrant is the Bishop, what is his greeting?

Mariam and Maryam are Arabic and Hebrew versions of Mary. Maria is Mary in Spanish and Marie is Mary in French.
