Teach me your ways, O LORD; make them known to me.
Teach me to live according to your truth, for you are my God, who saves me. I always trust in you.

Heavenly Father please hear my prayers
and bless all those for whom I pray
especially, Apollo, Channing, Rachel, Mike
and all those here in need of your mercy.

Gracious Lady, Mother of God,
by the first sword of sorrow that pierced your heart
when Holy Simeon predicted your life of affliction,
implore your blessed Son to give us courage
to bear the troubles and trials of life.
Let me stand by your side,
the close companion of your sorrow,
as you and your Son face your harsh destiny together.
Lady of Mercy, soften our hard hearts,
give us true contrition for our sins,
and bless all those who do us good
for your name's sake.
Amen

Glory be to the Father,
 and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning,
is now, and ever shall be,
 world without end.
 Amen.!

Heavenly Father please hear my prayers
and bless all those for whom I pray
especially, Apollo, Channing, Rachel, Mike
and all those here in need of your mercy

Lady of Compassion, Mother of God,
by the second sword of sorrow that pierced your heart
when you and Joseph were forced to flee into Egypt
to save your Son from cruel Herod's slaughter,
let me stand by your side,
By the blood of the Holy Innocents
and the tears of their despairing mothers,
look with compassion on the refugees
who flee from the Herod's of our time.
Lady of mercy, mother of the persecuted and exiled,
by your loving prayers
may God pull tyrants from their thrones
and lift up the poor and lowly
to praise his Holy Name,
now and forever.
Amen

Gracious Lady, Mother of God,
by the third sword of sorrow that pierced your heart
when your Son was lost to you for three days,
let me stand by your side,
the close companion of your sorrow,
as you and Joseph were baffled by his wisdom
and by the forebodings of his destiny.
Lady of mercy,
help us to grasp the claims that Jesus has on us
and acknowledge his lordship over our lives,
as we too increase in wisdom and in years,
and by God's grace, in divine and human favor.
Amen

By the intercession of Our Lady of Sorrows,
may the Lord Jesus conduct us to our heavenly home.
Amen

O my God,
I firmly believe that you are one God in three Divine Persons:
 Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
I believe that your Divine Son became man,
and died for our sins, and that He will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe these and all the truths that Your Holy Catholic Church teaches because You have revealed them,
who is Eternal Truth and Wisdom and  can neither deceive nor be deceived.
Amen!

Compassionate Lady, Mother of God,
by the fourth sword of sorrow that pierced your heart,
you wept and wailed with the women of Jerusalem,
as you took his warning to heart:
"If they do this when the wood is green,
what will happen when it is dry?"
As you trailed the bloodstained streets of Jerusalem,
your breaking heart was martyred with his,
Mother and Son in agony together.
Lady of Mercy, let me stand by your side,
the close companion of your sorrow,
as your exhausted Son stumbled and fell again and again.
Increase our devotion to Jesus crucified
as we bear our own cross daily for his sake
and await in hope for the joy of his return in glory,
to judge the living and the dead.
Amen

By the intercession of Our Lady of Sorrows,
may the Lord Jesus conduct us to our heavenly home.
Amen

A lovely prayer George.
Please explain to to me what Jesus meant by those words.
"If they do this when the wood is green,
what will happen when it is dry?"

I got this from Ignatius Catholic study bible.

Luke 23:31 The wood: A symbol of Jerusalem. As long as the city is like green wood, which is moist and unsuitable for making a fire, there is still time to repent and embrace the Messiah. Persistent rebellion, however, will make Jerusalem dry and fit to be burned. Jesus alludes to Ezekiel's condemnation of Jerusalem in the 6th century B. C., implying that once again the wayward city will become firewood for the flames of divine judgment (Ezek.15:1-8; 20:47). In addressing this to the faithful "Daughters of Jerusalem" (Lk. 23:28) he may be identifying them with the righteous "daughters" of the city who will escape the catastrophe by the mercy of God and become a source of consolation for others (Ezek.14:22)

Blessed be the Great Mother of God,
Mary most holy,
Who stood near the foot of the cross

Mary, Mother of Compassion,
as the fifth sword of sorrow pierced your heart
at the bitter agony and death of your blessed Son,
let me stand by your side,
the close companion of your sorrow,
as you watch the final moments
of the Savior of the world.
Mother of Sorrows,
as we contemplate his five precious wounds
and the priceless blood of our redemption,
may we who meditate on your sufferings
reap the happy fruit of your Son's passion and death.
Amen

By the intercession of Our Lady of Sorrows,
may the Lord Jesus conduct us to our heavenly home.

(From the Canticle of the Virgin Mary)
Come, let us climb the mountain of the Lord
and see if there is any sorrow like my sorrow.

Glorious St. Michael,
Prince of the heavenly hosts, who stands always ready to give assistance to the people of God;
who did fight with the dragon, the old serpent, and did cast him out of heaven,
and now valiantly defends the Church of God that the gates of hell may never prevail against her,
We earnestly entreat you to assist us also, in the painful and dangerous conflict which we have to sustain against the same formidable foe.
Be with us, O mighty Prince! that we may courageously fight and wholly vanquish that proud spirit,
whom you have by the Divine Power, so gloriously overthrown,
 and whom our powerful King, Jesus Christ, has, in our nature, so completely overcome;
to the end that having triumphed over the enemy of our salvation, we may with you and the holy angels, praise the clemency of God who,
having refused mercy to the rebellious angels after their fall, has granted repentance and forgiveness to us, the fallen man.
 Amen!

Thanks George.
I actually have that book but I still could not grasp it even when I know the "green wood is Jerusalem".
Who are they and what are they doing to Jerusalem; it is Jesus and His followers whom the "Jews" are against, not the City.  confused

Oh Boy, Smiley I am no bible scholar, I took it to mean, The people were ready for the Messiah, thus the wood was green, but since the Messiah was being rejected and killed, the wood would become dry, and have no life in it and now even worse things were going to happen, that God would punish Israel for rejecting their Messiah. I think "They" are those who will be alive in the future when God's wrath falls upon Jerusalem. But I could be wrong (probably am), maybe someone else here can weigh in. I would like to know if it's something deeper than that.

Blessed be the great Mother of God, Mary most holy,
Who held her dead Son in her arms.

Lady of Sorrows, Mother of God,
by the sixth sword of sorrow that pierced your heart
as your dear Son was taken down from the cross
and deposited in your arms,
let me stand at your side,
the close companion of your sorrow,
as you mingle your tears with the blood
of the Savior of the world.
Lady of mercy,
as you suffer the pangs of martyrdom
at the sight of His broken and wounded body,
prepare us for the joys of paradise,
the fruit of His blessed passion and death.
Amen

By the intercession of Our Lady of Sorrows,
may the Lord Jesus conduct us to our heavenly home.
Amen
