When I thought, "My foot slips,"
your mercy, O Lord, held me up.
When the cares of my heart are many,
your consolations cheer my soul.

It is good to give thanks to the Lord,

to declare your merciful love in the morning,

may your hand be there to guide me,
to lead me down the right path,
that I may dwell forever in your presence.

Holy and Eternal God,
it is you I seek,
please give me the strength I need,
that my quest becomes my bliss.
Open my heart to your Holy Spirit
that I may obtain the courage to do what needs to be done
by the inspiration of your Word and Spirit.
May the holy and life giving Spirit inhabit my heart
now and forever.
I ask this through Christ our Lord
