The Lord chose you to pray for X; Maybe there was no one and the Lord provided. How wonderful.
I understand the chaplet of Divine Mercy is another wonderful intercessory prayer for the dying even if one is not in the same room with the dying, the Lord promised Sister Faustine " ...Write that when they say this chaplet in the presence of the dying, I will stand between My Father and the dying person, not as the just Judge but as the merciful Savior (Diary, 1541)."
