Evening Prayer to God the Father
by St. Macarius
O eternal God and Ruler of all creation, You have allowed me to reach this hour. Forgive the sins I have committed this day by word, deed or thought. Purify me, O Lord, from every spiritual and physical stain. Grant that I may rise from this sleep to glorify You by my deeds throughout my entire lifetime, and that I be victorious over every spiritual and physical enemy. Deliver me, O Lord, from all vain thoughts and from evil desires, for yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, now and ever, and forever.

A beautiful prayer.
I have copied it in my prayer book.
I ask God always to give me words in spontaneous prayer but no deal so far.
I try to use my own words to pray but the words are simply not there. There is no flow, no spontaneity

Perhaps take pieces from various prayers? Well I think you are doing pretty well myself!
I love praying with book prayers.

Hail Mary full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.
Holy Mary Mother of God pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Kind mother of our redeemer,
the way to heaven for us, now and always,
star of the sea,
come to our help as we fall
and strive to rise.
All nature stood still in wonder
when you gave flesh to your
own flesh's creator.
Virgin at Gabriel's greeting,
virgin now and always.
Take pity on us sinners.
Amen.

May God give to all of you
a heart to worship Him
and to do His will readily and generously.
May He open your heart
to His law and His commandments
and grant you peace.
May He hear your prayers,
and be reconciled to you,
and not forsake you in time of evil
