{A} Three Leaved Rose
{B} The rose named 'Three-leaved rose' appears after a little reading to be one described as a large rambling rose with bright semi-evergreen leaves with three leaflets, it has white blossoms and golden stamens. In many places around the world it would be blooming today.
{B} The flower on the floral calendar for today, the Feast of St. Boniface, the Apostle of the Frisians, the three leaflets remind of the Holy Trinity. St. Boniface stood before the pagans and took an axe to the gigantic tree the pagans worshiped, and after a single cut, God blew the tree down, and so they came to the true Faith in the Holy Trinity.

{A} Clustered Bell Flower, Latin name, Campanula glomerata
{B} A perennial plant that grows a globe of flowers, it is hardy and can grow 2 1/2 feet tall.
{C} The flower for the feast of St. Paulinus of Nola, today's feast. St. Paulinus was once a pagan poet and Roman senator. Some years after the assassination of Emperor Gratian, he was baptized and became a Christian. Later he became bishop of Nola, and wrote yearly poems in honor of St. Felix, the previous bishop. The bell flower reminds us of the bells used in churches and monasteries, calling people to God.
