                At the Christmas Mass, from The Gospel According to John, the priest read:
                the glory as of the Father's only son, full of grace and truth.

                It is with grandeur to hear about Christ Jesus being full of grace. Obviously he would be full of grace because
                he is the Son of the Lord God.
                I mention this because for hundreds of years, people have been praying:
                Hail Mary, full of grace
                Mary was full of grace because she was the Mother of God.
                What are your thoughts?

I found this while reading my morning prayers:
From  a letter written by Paschasius Radbert, abbot:

"Hail Mary, full of grace; The Lord is with thee;
Blessed art thou among women"
 "It was fitting that the Virgin should be given such gifts and be full of grace since she
Has bestowed glory on heaven and has brought God and peace to the earth, faith to pagans,
an end to vice, order to life and discipline to morals."

My thoughts are that I couldn't have said it better and thanks and praise to The Father, Son and Holy Spirit
For the treasure of words left for us to dig through for answers.
 Thank you for starting this thread!

When the angel Gabriel said, "Full of grace" in his address to the Blessed Virgin Mary he was saying that she was immcaulatly concieved and without sin, hence full of grace.

Mary was conceived without sin, full of grace.  God's son could not have been conceived and born of a woman who was otherwise.
