              Honorius was a cattle merchant in Parthenay, Poitou, France.     
              He learned that his servants had robbed him while he was away.       
              Honorius was slain by the servants.     
              He was immediately venerated as a martyr.     
              He was canonized in 1444.

                 There is also an Honorius who was the fifth Archbishop of Canterbury.         
                 He was elected in 627 and consecrated by St. Paulinus of York in 628.     
                 Honorius sent St. Felix to convert the East Angles.

              There is also a St. Honoratus (Honorius, Honoré) who was Bishop of Amiens.         
              He was born to a noble family. His feast day is May 16th.     
              He is the patron of bakers and bakers of altar bread.     
              In 1659, King Louis IV of France ordered that every baker observe the feast of St. Honoratus, and       
              give donations in honor of the saint and for the benefit of the community.

             St. Honorius who was canonized in 1444 is called Honorius of Buzancais.

                               During his bishopric, Honorius, Bishop of Amiens, discovered the relics of   
                                 Victoricus, Fuscian, and Gentian.   
                               These relics had remained hidden for 300 years.

St. Honorius of Canterbury consecrated the first Anglo-Saxon bishop, Ithamar of Rochester.

St. Honorius of Amiens is the namesake of the St. Honore Cake.   
The pastry dessert is also known by its French name gateau St_Honore.

                       The chief act of Archbishop Honorius of Canterbury's episcopate was the mission of St. Felix.   
                        Honorius consecrated Felix and sent him to convert the East Angles.
