I know it is a bit early. . . but I thought I would ask folks..

How are you preparing for Christmas?

Now that I no longer live in a condominium, I am thinking of what to do for decorating the outdoors.

Well there are always Christmas lights, but I want something overtly religious of course, that's absolutely necessary in these times. Something that does not acknowledge Christ will not do any time of year, and the especially the upcoming where they do what they can to remove Him.

I was looking at nativity scenes. . . And there are some fine silhouettes and stencils out there. I saw for sale a white scene with a silhouette of St. Joseph, Our Lady, and Our Lord.

I thought it was decent enough looking. Then I thought -- here I am with some wood and a computer that can print out enlarged outlines. I could try taking a silhouette of the nativity, print it out in parts so it is large enough, and try cutting out some wood into a nice nativity scene, then paint it white.

It's an idea! I might try it.

I have an outdoor outlet in front I can illuminate it with.

And let's see then I also have to find where my Christmas cards are boxed away. . . early prepared for Christmas.. that would be nice.

I'm checking a nearby Catholic thrift store for Nativity scene statues a couple of times a week. I have the wood to built a simple manger and shelter.

Hopefully I will find some large statues to do it. Smiley

Glad to hear you're another fellow who likes to build stuff Charles!

I am very happy with the statue of St. Joseph and Christ child I have here at the house.

Keeping Christ in Christmas is daily revealing the character, love, and spirit of Christ that dwells
in an individual, by allowing these traits to shine through his actions.
