I was surprised to receive a seed catalog the other day. Then I remembered seeds are great gifts for gardeners!

Chamomile is a white flower with yellow centers, like a daisy.  flower

I bought some Canterbury bells seeds last year, but they did not come up. I hope I have some leftover in my box to try again next Spring.

I hope to if I have too little.

It was a beautiful spring-like day today, but I am sure winter will return soon!

I hope to prepare for spring ahead of time with indoor seedlings when the time is right.

It is getting nearer to the time to start plants indoors here.

Today I saw seeds for the white flowering Nicotiana alata. After looking up the odd name it is part of the tobacco plant genus with white flowers.

For a yard customer I planted Nicotiana alata. However, the flowers were not white. They were yellow and matched the yellow house.

It sounds like your customer had good taste having flowers to match the house. I think white also goes well with yellow too.

My grandfather's favorite color was yellow.

Shin, David, who was the customer, even removed some bushes from the front of the house.
In the vacant areas he had me plant perennials, annuals, and tulip bulbs.

It sounds like quite a lot was done!

When I read up on Nicotiana alata, I found out it is a perennial, but when grown in the north and colder places like other warmer climiate perrenials it will not survive the winter so it is grown like an annual.
