Dometius was a Persian convert to Christianity.
He became a hermit at Nisibis, Mesopotamia.
He challenged Julian the Apostate.

Julian the apostate is one of the types or precursors of the Antichrist.
He issued an act proclaiming all religions equal before the law, unseating Christianity, and favoring the Jews, heretics and pagans.
He pretended to be even handed but selectively applied the laws to persecute Christians and promote pagans.
He tried to rebuild the Jewish temple, but supernatural fires destroyed the work and the workers.
Was St. Dometius stabbed to death or stoned to death?

The Marytrology says, "At Nisibis, in Mesopotamia, St. Dometius, a Persian monk, who was stoned to death with two of his disciples, under Julian the Apostate."
