St. Osmund of Salisbury was a Norman noble and clergyman.
He was the son of Henry, Count of Seez and Isabella.
Isabella was a daughter of Duke Robert of Normandy.

John Delaney wrote that St Osmund was named Bishop of Salisbury in 1078 by King William (?).  His canonization as Saint in 1457 was the last for an English Saint until SS John More and Fisher in 1935.

St. Osmund initiated some revisions to the extant Celtic-Anglo-Saxon rite.
