The Immaculate Heart of Mary

This feast was Saturday and I goofed and missed it
. Found these quotes though and wanted to share them.
It is not that the Mother is more powerful than the Son, since it is from him that she derives her power. But Jesus, being the judge and master of all men, discerns each one's merits and confines himself to justice before answering. Whereas in the name of Mary, his satisfying justice is all appeased, and the merits of this incomparable creature intervene and obtain everything.
St. Anselm
Yes, It is in you, O Mary, that we find the accumulated abundance of God's mercy, and it is from there that it has flowed on to us.

Let us run to her [Mary, Blessed Virgin] and like little children cast ourselves into her arms with perfect confidence.

Thank you Brigid...... Some great saints to choose from but some how I just can't neglet dear Padre Pio.
Him and I go back to when I was 10 yrs old when I read a book about him. I was at home in bed wilth an illness for about 3 days and boredom made me lift an old book (the story of Padre Pio) on the bedside locker in my parents room and I began to read. Although I wasn't clever enough to understand it all and skipped past the big words, I still got the jist of it (it had loads of pictures too) and it had a profound effect on me. I've never forgotten him since. Even when I fell away from my faith this book haunted me.

In Chapter 2 of Saint Luke's gospel, the evangelist twice reports that Mary kept all the
things in her heart, that there she might ponder over them.

Prayer: Lord, Mary's heart was always attentive and faithful to your will.
Recreate in me a pure heart, so that I may be gentle and humble of heart.

The Gospel of John invites attention to Mary's heart with the depiction of Mary at the foot
of the cross at Jesus' crucifixion.
