We're especially in need of short one line prayers for Saints' Prayers, and a great lot of them.

If you come across any collections of these or want to contribute them, please do. Smiley

St. Philomena, virgin and martyr, pray for us to have the purity of heart and courage to shed our blood for Christ's sake!

This is an old thread, but I just had a short prayer in my head and was looking for
A place to put it!

Someone once told me when they
were young, they and their Mother would sing,

"Jesus remember me when you come into your kingdom"

They would sing it together at bedtime.  cross prayer cross prayer Zzzz
I thought that was so nice.
I just love to hear stories of growing up in a Catholic home Smiley

Oh! Short Prayers specifically to Saints! Ok, I just reread those marching orders..... Grin
This one is described as well known:

St.Joseph, assist me by your powerful intercession
and obtain for me from your divine son all spiritual blessings
through Jesus Christ, Our Lord.
Amen.

I am enjoying saying these short prayers!

St. Joseph, model and patron of those who love the Sacred Heart of Jesus, pray for us!

Dear St Lucy, whose name doth signify the Light, we come to thee filled with confidence: do thou obtain for us a Holy Light that shall make us careful not to walk in the ways of sin, nor to remain enshrouded in the darkness of error...

O great Saint Dominic, who, inflamed with Divine Love, didst find thy delight in prayer and intimate union with God; obtain for us to be faithful in our daily prayers, to love our Lord ardently, and to observe His Commandments with ever increasing fidelity...

Saint Dominic has often seemed a puzzle to me, because both he and his order seem to get much less "press" over the years than the other "great" orders, even though my casual tabulations list many great Dominican Saints.  It seems curious he's named patron saint of astronomers and scientists; I suppose I should try to find something about that but don't think I've ever looked.  I've thought many times about buying a few books about the larger orders, but my poor wife worries I have too many books already that I either haven't read or can't remember, and no room for any more.

How is your wife doing by the way eschator?

Yes I agree there is less material out about St. Dominic than one might expect given his influence!

My bride still struggles with constant pain, but faces it with hope and is remarkably active and good natured, thank God.  We deeply appreciate all the prayers that keep blessing her.
