Blessed Henri Planchat

Marie-Mathieu Henri Planchat was born on November 8, 1823 in Bourbon-Vendee, France.   
His father was a local court judge.   
In 1837 Henri entered the College Stanislas in Paris as a boarder.

After obtaining his baccalaureate in 1842, Henri was admitted to the Faculty of Law,   
remaining at the College de Vaugirard as a monitor and tutor.

Henri Planchat spent most of his life serving the working class and the poor in Paris. He did not stop at the usual charity work but also sought to improve the living conditions of those who were abandoned in society. A spirit of dedication to the community.
