I was just listening to Mother Angelica classics and she said something that hadn't occurred to me and in a way that I hadn't really thought of as part of this passage, however it is soooo very wonderful.

She was talking about different aspects of this miracle and then spoke of Him telling the family/servants to feed the little girl. She likened it to Jesus cooking fish for the apostles. Then she said that it shows how in the Incarnation that He came down from Heaven to be one of us with our priorities, the most important to human's earthly priorities being eating.

Shin, she also said that it showed that Jesus must have been a little Italian. Grin

I am always  moved when I picture Jesus cooking the fish for his Apostles. They have had a long day, manual labor. He feeds them , like a mother would,  and then once they are rested and relaxed begins talking about heavenly things. How humble and considerate is that! The Creator of the universe cooking breakfast for you!  angel blue

If only we could be that humble and considerate!
