Little children and Adoration

What do you (this is where you-all or 'Ya'll', like Southerners say would come in handy) think about going for a short time to Adoration with pre-schoolers. I ask this since non-Catholics say they are converted due to Adoration and they are unchurched. I was thinking about taking my grandchildren for 5 minutes at a time. Actually, the 4 year-old would take to it easier than the 5 1/2 year-old. I don't know if that's due to gender (little girls developing quicker than little boys) or what. Anyway it's an idea I had and wondered what you thought.

I think that is a great idea! My little girl who is almost 5 got fidgety the one time I took her. But short periods like 10-15 minutes is good for little tots.
And I'm sure Our Lord Jesus would love to have little children come to him

This is reminding me of stories of St. Catherine's youth.. holier children..
It's true children I think used to be more disciplined so they could stay longer.. but at least five minutes.. they should be able to handle these days..

Taking the children to adoration is a wonderful idea! You can talk about the Blessed Sacrament with the children on your way to adoration and on your way home.

But what about if their mother is not Catholic - and not going to any church. Wouldn't it make her mad? Remember, these little ones are barely 4 and 5 1/2 - not able to stay 'mum'.

I suppose it could make her mad unless she still had a true sense and understanding of the divine presence of God in the Blessed Sacrament and really had faith in Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.

She's never been Catholic, was baptized in the Lutheran church and has not been to church since she was an older teen.

I think it's a great idea. Didn't the Lord Himself say not to stop the little children coming to Him.
A priest here said once, "You can't sit in the sun without being burnt,You can't come before the Lord in the Blessed Sacrament without being healed."
As long as everyone maintains reverence (according to age) then it must be good.

That's right! I hadn't thought of that.
