Dear friends,
Please say a small prayer for me. I've been feeling down in the dumps for the past few days, more so since it was a long weekend and it brings back memories, then followed by anxieties of how I'm going to provide for the family and other worries. I've been trying to get out of it but it seems to be bogging me down.  I should feel better in a few days, but your prayers will help.

Thank you all ! Smiley Little Angel

Count the gifts that God has given you and be happy!

'By Christ's Passion our weakness was cured. By His Resurrection death was conquered. Still we have to be sorrowful for the world, as well as joyful in the Lord, sorrowful in penance, joyful in gratitude.'

St. Ambrose of Milan

Hail, Holy Queen

Hail, holy Queen, Mother of Mercy!
Our life, our sweetness, and our hope!
To thee do we cry, poor banished
children of Eve, to thee do we send
up our sighs, mourning and weeping
in this valley, of tears.
Turn, then, most gracious advocate,
thine eyes of mercy toward us; and
after this our exile show unto us the
blessed fruit of thy womb Jesus;
O clement, O loving, O sweet virgin Mary.

Pray for us, O holy Mother of God

That we may be made worthy of the
promises of Christ.

To Jesus My Friend
by St. Claude de la Colombiere

Jesus! You are my true Friend, my only Friend. You take a part in all my misfortunes; You take them on Yourself; You know how to change them into blessings; You listen to me with the greatest kindness when I relate my troubles to You, and You have always balm to pour on my wounds.

I find You at all times; I find You everywhere, You never go away: if I have to change my dwelling, I find You there wherever I go. You are never weary of listening to me, You are never tired of doing me good. I am certain of being beloved by You, if I love You; my goods are nothing to You, and by bestowing Yours on me, You never grow poor; however miserable I may be, no one nobler or cleverer or even holier can come between You and me, and deprive me of Your friendship; and death, which tears us away from all other friends, will unite me forever to You. All the humiliations attached to old age, or to the loss of honor, will never detach You from me; on the contrary, I shall never enjoy You more fully, and You will never be closer to me than when everything seems to conspire against me to overwhelm me and to cast me down. You bear with all my faults with extreme patience, and even my want of fidelity and my ingratitude do not wound You to such a degree as to make You unwilling to receive me when I return to You. O Jesus, grant that I may die praising You, that I may die loving You, that I may die for the love of you. Amen.

Just back from Mass and I remembered you Patricia and Maryslittlefkower at Communion.

I think Padre Pio wants the last word again tiny angel

Don't worry about tomorrow because the very same Heavenly Father who takes care of you today will have the same thought tomorrow and always. . . What does a child in the arms of such a Father have to fear? Be as children, who hardly ever think about their future as they have someone to think for them. They are sufficiently strong just by being with their father.

Praying for you Patricia.  Also, you asked for some Saint's words about motherhood.  Here is St. Elizabeth Seton.  I think this one might give you comfort that you are not alone in your suffering.  This was written to her friend Julia while she was a new widow with 5 young children.

"The tenderness and affection of your expressions brought many quick and bitter tears from my heart...... I find so many changes and reverses in my singular fate ...........My Seton has left his five darlings and myself wholly dependent on the bounty of those individuals who have loved and respected him..........and if John Wilkes did not continue a faithful friend to us I should see my dear ones in a state of absolute poverty...... my Soul's Sister [Rebecca Seton] departed for the happier world this day week, and with her is gone all my interest in the connections of this life...... it appears to me Julia that a cave or a desert would best satisfy my natural desire.  but God has given me a great deal to do, and I have always, and hope always, to prefer his Will to every wish of my own.  [He is]  most gracious in giving both to my husband and sister that Peace in their last hours which assures me they are free from all sufferings and inheriting His promises...... most gracious in raising my Soul above all the changing events of my mortal existance........."

I pray God raises your soul above all the changing events of your mortal existence...........  cross prayer cross prayer

Thank you, friends! These moods are probably going to go on for awhile as the grieving process continues,  but your prayers help so much and your encouraging words lift me up. God Bless! angel blue

I'm praying for you too -- if we let worry drag us down it is so difficult to see the good around us and to trust that God will care for us -- maybe put on some holy music that will lift you above your worries and let you feel God's love and protection.

Lord, please grant joy and peace to Patricia.  Heal her and bless her abundantly.  May she keep seeking your kingdom first so that everything in her life will fall into place.  Grant her patience, strength, sure hope, deep faith and an even greater portion of your burning love within her heart.  Thank you, Lord, for hearing my prayer.

Hi everyone!
Could you please say a prayer for me for healing. I fell down yesterday and I have a minor concussion. But after the doctor  reviewed the X-rays, they found some degenerative problems with my spine. I am also in a bit of pain right now.
I appreciate your prayers. Thank you all !

May our Lord heal you in accordance with his holy and perfect will, and grant you the strength you need to carry your cross courageously, patiently and lovingly.  May our Lord ease your pain, if this would please him, and give you the special graces you need to be perfectly conformed to his will.  Amen.
