Several Requests. . .
«

A friend of mine, Sherry, has made some prayer requests and I would like to share them for her here, I do not think she will mind..
"My dear good friend Paul has only a few days left to live and I am going to be on his side until that time. He wishes to eat lots and lots of strawberry ice cream, eating some of those cheese burger from McDonald and I should read his favourite book on Hamlet. We had long conversations and still arguing over Hamlet even after those many years. It did make him laughed tho'. Good to see how he laughs at such a very critical moments. Please do pray for him and his family."
"My dear loving husband Andrew is going down to Haiti to contribute help for the victims of earth quake over there. He is going to fly over on Monday after 14hrs (German time). I am worried about his security over there - the place is in a wreck - and people are desperate for water and food; no medications and no place to sleep either. Please pray for Andrew - he will stay there for 2 weeks."
Let's pray for Paul that he may be fully in the Lord's embrace, reconciled to God, and so for a happy death, and for his family and friends. And for Andrew, and all the people in Haiti, the rescue and relief workers, and those needing rescue and relief. May they find the Lord amidst all the destruction and sorrow... and God bless and help Sherry and sustain her and lift her up, let us pray..
Lord grant further your good graces.. and let us follow them..
Kyrie eleision. Christi eleision.
Psalm 23
The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want; he maketh me to lie down in green pastures. He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul. He leadeth me in paths of righteousness for his name sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies; Thou anointest my head with oil, my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Prayer for the Faithful in their Agony
from 'With God' by Fr. F.X. Lasance
O most merciful Jesus, Lover of souls! I pray Thee, by the agony of Thy most sacred Heart, and by the sorrows of Thy immaculate Mother, cleanse in Thine own blood the sinners of the whole world who are now in their agony and about to die this day.
Heart of Jesus, once in agony, pity the dying.
Hail, Holy Queen
Hail holy Queen, mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious Advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us. And after this our exile show unto us the blessed Fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.
Pray for us O holy Mother of God,
That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Thank you!
She, and I, and everyone appreciates it!
Sherry's going through a tough time lately. It's hard to have one's loved one helping in a place like that!

I will certainly pray for these requests - and for Sherry that strength and consolation may be hers in this difficult time.

Thanks be to God!
It seems that Andrew is going to be OK, the head injury was not too bad.
Paul passed away last night. Let's pray he rests in peace.
Eternal Rest. . .
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord; and let perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace.
Requiem aeternam dona eis Domine; et lux perpetua luceat eis. Requiescant in pace.
