I know you all are disappointed somewhat that I still turn on the “one-eyed monster” (from Shin’s post). We will leave that hanging in the air for the time being.
I did turn it on yesterday and I was immediately riveted.
There he was, the man whose book, "A Father Who Keeps His Promises".
 I have pestered relatives abroad into sending, as I could not get it locally. The same man whose  Bible commentaries, tend to open my eyes to the deeper meaning of the Sacred Pages, something I am never able to discern for myself. All I ever see is the literal meaning of the text, nothing else. Scott Hahn was covering the various Covenants God had and still has with His People.
I liked what I heard.

May the Lord help you to keep busy with spiritual things so you haven't any time for television.  If you do watch television may you stick to Catholic networks.  May you make more time for mental prayer (and your rosaries), for spiritual reading, scriptural reading, charitable works, etc..  May you speak frequently to the Lord throughout your day and persevere in a state of grace.  Amen.
