The first update for Saints' Books is complete.

Offsite links have been replaced with onsite links for all volumes.

And the volume, 'St. Bonaventure - The Life of St. Francis of Assisi' has been added to the collection, as well as, 'St. Francis of Assisi - Works of the Seraphic Father'.

Over the forthcoming few weeks there should be a number of updates to the volumes include in the archives, the grace of God permitting.

St. Bonaventure's Life of St. Francis of Assisi is naturally, of the highest recommendation for reading. If you do not have the patience to read it on the computer screen, please purchase it from a good Catholic bookseller and read it in print, and also consider it as a good gift to those willing to read it.

Please test out the Saints' Books pages and report any difficulties as well as anything especially helpful or pleasing.

Saints' Books is now in the midst of a complete update to its PDF files. They are all being reviewed, and reduced in size a bit, with extra matter removed normally, such as covers, advertisements, etc. They should be a bit easier to read, and more easily downloadable.

An update has been made to an old link on Saints' Works that now has a redirect to the proper Saints' Books Book List. This will help folks whose favorites and links are out of date, and so did not see all the previous updates.

The old and original and true Douai-Rheims Bible has been added to the books on Saints' Books, a scan of the original books.

These are the first versions, before the revisions made by Bishop Challoner.

The etext is quite readable, and has the benefits of being the most untouched version in English by any influences outside of the Church.

These are large downloads being Bible scans.

They are faithful renditions of the Latin Vulgate with all the benefits of this and with a great deal of Catholic spirituality in the language one simply does not find in these times.

There are also print and etext versions of it available with updated spelling one can purchase elsewhere that are certainly worth owning.

However, even without the updated spelling, the versions available here are quite readable.
