I would like to remind our visitors and members of one of the books in our library of Saints' Books.

"Preces Gertrudianae" which contains the prayers of St. Gertrude the Great & St. Mechtilde.

I believe those who pray these prayers from the heart will greatly benefit and recommend them highly. There are spiritual lessons within these prayers on how God calls us to be in heart and mind and soul.

For those who might prefer to refer to a printed copy to pray from there are facsimile editions available from book outlets.

Many thanks for this post and the convenience of using these links to access the many prayers.  I think I read in Delaney that St Gertrude destroyed a book of many of these prayers, and her director order her to rewrite them.  Increasing my curiosity is that Gertrude wrote the prayers which were given by God to St Mechtilde, her teacher and friend, as well as prayers Gertrude received herself.  I wonder if it is common for Contemplatives to believe that most or all of the prayers they originate are inspired by God. Also, I think I recall reading somewhere that a key-code could be used to magnify the text here, but I can't find it.  Can anyone what it is?

I have felt the strongest calling to come back to this thread each time I open the Forums and I am very grateful not just for the thread but for so many of the others here as well.  Probably the primary reason for the call is the wonderful sense of devotion and purity that the prayers exude.  Another aspect is my stubbornness in wanting to get good copies of them, including magnifying them, but I haven't yet figured that out.  Can anybody help, please?  One other aspect is that because the prayers are sorted into groups, they provide at least some clues as to a logic about what subjects are generally addressed to which Divine persons and other holy entities.  Since many of the prayers here are said to have been received from the Divine Trinity, there may be an indication of the preferences of the Trinity.  Is it obvious I'm hoping readers will get interested and comment on best options for addressing prayers?

Thank you for bringing up this thread again my friend and this wonderful book.

I believe CTRL + and CTRL - will zoom in and out for most browsers viewing the forum and the book files. I hope this is of assistance to you!

I bought my physical copy of the book through Abe Books, a third party seller called Books Puddle. It arrived in good condition over all with some page creases, but a quite readable copy with the text larger than an average book's size.

Many thanks and Blessings for all you do.  Control +/- work great.  I hope you are well.  We head to camp in a week or two and are most thankful to get out of the city.  I pray to improve my contribution here and continue learning.
