Hi Shin, I'm doing fine.   Cheesy
I think I once preserved some leaves in a picture frame, or maybe that was ferns.
I hope we have fall here soon in PA - almost 90 degrees today.   sweat drop

Were the virtues you asked about prudence, justice, fortitude, temperance?
I don't know what the lilies represent if birds are saints.  The faithful on earth?  Virgins?

Shin:  The crock pot liners work well, easy cleanup.  My brother always said wood and newspaper were good insulators, and also styrofoam of course, save those packing peanuts!

I find custody of the eyes helps me very much.

I once heard a priest (sspx) say that if you ever felt an evil thought, to say to yourself "precious blood of Jesus cover me and protect me from the wickedness of the evil one."   This always helps.  He said "you can almost feel it", and you can!    crucifix

Hi Odhiambo!  I like this category!

Answer:  God's saving His people?

Hi susanna!
In effecting that spectacular miracle of the Crossing of the Red Sea, God indeed saved His chosen people the Israelites from slavery, the same way He now saves His adopted children, the Christians, from sin, through Baptism.
The catechism identifies the crossing of the Red Sea as a type of baptism:
CCC 1221
“But above all, the crossing of the Red Sea, literally the liberation of Israel from the slavery of Egypt, announces the liberation wrought by Baptism

You freed the children of Abraham from the slavery of Pharaoh,
bringing them dry-shod through the waters of the Red Sea,
to be an image of the people set free in Baptism."

So then the Sacrament of Baptism was hidden in that incident of the crossing of the Red Sea.
I was going to say that!   Cheesy  I had read that, but I didn't understand, since the water didn't touch them and in baptism it does.  I mean, that's the important thing about baptism - that the water is poured on your head.

Mary was conceived without sin, full of grace.  God's son could not have been conceived and born of a woman who was otherwise.

I pretty much only go to the Latin Mass, where no gifts are taken up.   Smiley

...for through the mystery of the Word made flesh, the new light of Thy glory hath shown upon the eyes of our mind, so that while we acknowledge God in visible form. we may through Him be drawn to the love of things invisible.

I think it means that reality is better than what you wish would be.

 cross prayer littleprayer

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence,    I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me.

Amen.
