Please remember my family during your Rosary. I just lost my husband . I have four children to raise and since I was a house wife all these years have to look for a job and think of a career to begin. I need more strength than ever.  I don't have a family around to help me. I pray God sends me a job that will help us and also not let me neglect my children in any way!

Dear Patricia,

You have my prayers! And more!

I will remember you before the Eucharist today.

May God give you the strength and may His angel lead you to the place you need.

Have faith! With it you will find what you need, I know!

I just read a book about a young woman in the Rwandan genocide.. she had nothing at all, her house destroyed, her family gone.. but because she had faith, she prayed and she thought ahead of how to do what she needed to do, with confidence, trust and persistence, she found a good job that allowed her to care for her fellow refugees, and begin her life again. Where-ever you are, God can help you and loves you and your family.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

What you are doing puts my difficulties in perspective! I will continue to pray for you.

Thank you, Shin and Brigid, for your prayers. I know I need it .
Shin, I read that book too. The woman is Immaculee.  Amazing faith and courage! To lose your loving family to senseless violence and still rise above it all is surely the grace of God. She forgave the killers. I forget the name of the book. My husband had bought it for me and I passed it on to my brother in India.

We need your prayers. Thank you. Its a terrible time we are going through. I just hope all of us make it through this dark valley . Relying on God's grace. But God has his plan and that's what I think. But it still is painful.

That is the truth! So much of what we do is hampered by our own worries - God is willing to open the way!

Be brave!

How are you managing Patricia?

I just read a person praising and thanking the Blessed Virgin for finding him a job, and thanking her for her Miraculous Medal.

Perhaps we should start a Miraculous Medal Novena?

You are so concerned and kind. I'm managing fine for now with survivors benefits , but cant live on that forever. Have to work which is difficult without any work experience. But I've applied for temporary  positions in schools , so it will give me some confidence in the work place. Hope something comes my  way what with this bad economy.

What really gets me is doing the bills, calling people on phone, getting things fixed , things I never did before Sad But I'm learning. Now I truly appreciate what my husband did all the time for us.

What's the Miraculous Medal novena? I'll start it.

There's a lot about the Miraculous Medal here. Smiley

Here, let's start this. It's the same prayer day by day. I'm sure it'll help.   Cheesy

Novena of the Miraculous Medal

O Immaculate Virgin Mary,
Mother of Our Lord Jesus and our Mother,
penetrated with the most lively confidence in your all-powerful and never-failing intercession, manifested so often through the Miraculous Medal,
we your loving and trustful children implore you to obtain for us the graces and favors we ask during this novena,
if they be beneficial to our immortal souls,
and the souls for whom we pray.

(Here form your petition) [For the Lord's will, especially for Patricia's intentions]

You know, O Mary, how often our souls have been the sanctuaries of your Son who hates iniquity.
Obtain for us then a deep hatred of sin and that purity of heart which will attach us to God alone so that our every thought, word and deed may tend to His greater glory.

Obtain for us also a spirit of prayer and self-denial that we may recover by penance what we have lost by sin and at length attain to that blessed abode where you are the Queen of angels and of men.

Amen.

Thanks a bunch. I went to that website and requested a medal.  I will also start the novena. I feel optimistic already.  Smiley
