Riddle of the Day: Flowers
«
on:
June 17, 2010, 11:01:16 AM »
Inscribe an M above a line, then write an E below.
The flower you seek is hung so fine, it sways when breezes blow.
What is the answer to this riddle?
anemone, the windflower.
This can be a toughie unless you know your flower species! Or, perhaps, if you know a little about undersea life! That's the end of my hints!

Ooo, you took the hint the wrong way.
I wonder if it will mislead others too? Not quite, no!
As always, if you give in, there it is, in invisible ink!

Shin, after this one, (and I know I'll lose and surrender soon
), I'm going to find a real difficult riddle for you.

Heheheheh! You do that!
And I'll hold out and not give in quickly like I usually do!

Well I didn't get it!
Here's another hint! Think about what it describes, visually, then describe that with words!

Patricia, I peaked - I knew I'd never get it. Then after I peaked I felt so dumb for not thinking of it before I looked. I still don't see how the riddle fits it though, but the clue should have told me.
Just think of Jacque Cousteau's underwater movies.

Be nice to me, Patricia. Sometimes I can get 'em, but I peak all too often.

I'll be nice to you Brigid.
I won't post the answer in invisible ink. I'll post it only when you surrender.
It'll save you the temptation of peeking.

Find out what the animals are! (for example, "To run away or escape" could be a "flea")
1. hair-control foam
2. very exposed
3. tellin' falsities
4. a lamenting cry
5. a dull person
6. a precious or loved one
7. first you get a parking ticket, then you get this
8. these make up a chain

2. bear
3. lion
4. whale
5. boar
6. deer

Well, Patricia - I don't have to surrender after all.

Oh this was a great series of riddles!
Tremendously good!
And thanks to Brigid I was able to peek too!
It was too close to avoid the temptation!
Farewell!
